Like on the first release of Thunderdome paintings from the Peruvian artist Boris Vallejo served as the base of the artwork of this release. However, this time, not one, but two paintings were used as source. On the frontcover, a detail from Vallejo's 1981 painting Hookah is shown. This is the prime artwork, which also decorates both discs, and booklet pages 1, 4, and 16. Hookah is better known under the name Opium Dream as the preliminary version of the painting was called. A detail from the 1984 painting named Dragon Prince was used for the backcover. Booklet pages 2 and 3 show a greater detail of this painting, although the upper- and lower part remain unshown.
