A brief Christmas album of under 30 minutes, but full of fun. It features The Ed Palermo Big Band but is not credited under that name, hence the listing under Ed Palermo's name.

Track 1 is based in part on one movement of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, but was adapted in the sixties by keyboardist Kim Fowley into a sufficiently new composition to make it distinctively different. The Nutrocker was recorded by Emerson, Lake & Palmer and issued on their album Pictures At An Exhibition.

Presumably Ed Palermo contributed as arranger and possibly alto saxophone, though he is omitted from the CD credits.
