“Zero” is the 21st single released by BUMP OF CHICKEN. The title track was used as the theme song for the game FINAL FANTASY Type-0. The limited 'first pressing only' edition comes with a bonus DVD and an extra track.
The single reached #2 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for 32 weeks.

This single is decided as the theme song of popular RPG FINAL FANTASY Type 0.
FINAL FANTASY Type 0 is the latest work of the mega hit series FAINAL FANTASY, and the long-awaited collaboration with FINAL FANTASY (which the band members are big fans themselves) was realized from an enthusiastic offer from the game production side. Fujiwara Koho made arrangements with the game production team and made the music essentially the nature of the world view of Type Zero, and then made up a new story as a new song for BUMP OF CHICKEN.

Track 2 is Smile which is a unique song for the band. Smile released as a charity single for the East Japan Great Earthquake disaster.

Track 3 Zero FINAL FANTASY Type 0 opening ver. Is included. This is a rearranged original zero for the opening video in the game, which plays the role of BGM of the deeply awesome opening world of Type Zero
The acoustic guitar and Fujiwara's fiercely singing voice are beautifully echoed to the song.


Track 3 is hidden track, starts to play from 10:06.


■ A Special Edition video produced by SQUARE ENIX is recorded on the limited edition DVD. For this DVD, Zero (for both EDver and OPver) has been finished in a specially edited music video using video footage from the game.
