Track A8 MOSQUITOL

Text from the supplementary sheet:
As with its predecessor, Volume 2 of the Trojan Story is not an attempt to compile a set of Trojan's greatest hits - rather it's an anthology of some of the best of thousands of classic tracks lying around, half-forgotten in the Trojan tape vaults. The period covered is 1971-1981, a decade which has seen the emergence of the reggae superstars - Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, etc. - and an encouraging acceptance of Jamaican music as a whole rather than it being the property of a small cult audience. The tracks which make up this three-album set include some of the most sought-after early performances by now-famous artists, a number of rare classics by one-hit wonders, and a good proportion of hits from those singers, who although great favourites in the roots reggae market, have never been able to break into the pop market. Above all, the set showcases the talents of Jamaica's finest singers, songwriters and musicians and their contribution to their music

Track D2 erroneously listed as Don't Cut Off Your Dreadlocks by Linval Thompson, of which it is a DJ version and was originally issued as its B-side.

Series number Volume Two on sleeve and Vol. 2 on labels.
