This album commemorates the 70th anniversary of I Musici, who made his debut in Rome in March 1952.
This is the long-awaited new recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons by the ensemble that realized the first stereo recording in history.
The world-premier recording of the third act ballet music Four Seasons from the opera Les Vèpres siciliennes (I vespri siciliani) premiered in Paris in 1855, which was specially comissioned for the I Musici Ensemble, is also included, here scored for piano and strings.
