Saxperiment - woodwind Quartet
Had Adolphe Sax in the mid-nineteenth century seen a vision of the phenomenon called Saxperiment that emerged in Finland more than a century later, would he still have gone ahead to publish the new invention he called the saxophone?

Saxperiment is a combination of artistic visions, skillful craftsmanship, scientific research, powerfully expressive impulsiveness and sheer madness. In the hands these four musicians one can hear more than 30 differently shaped woodwind instruments bend the boundaries of musical styles, and create a personal musical statement with a flavor of improvisation.

The members of the group, all four also composers, are well-known Finnish musicians with long careers in jazz and contemporary music, and with a wide knowledge of other musical styles.
