20 page booklet on the development and improvement of flat discs by 'Emile Berliner' as opposed to Edison's Phonograph cylinder's and how the Gramophone gradually became the standard recording format with the emergence of the 10-inch disc. Aided by the involvement of 'Fred Gaisberg', 'Eldridge Johnson' and 'William Sinkler Darby' they gained the support and confidence of artists around the world.
Recorded in Budapest, Glasgow, London, Madrid, Milan, New York, Philadelphia, St Petersburg, Washington.

For full recording title, disc, location, and dating details see centre page of booklet.

The earliest discs (Tracks 1-4) are believed to be the voice of 'Emile Berliner' himself.
Likewise (Track 9) 'The Twenty-Third Psalm' is believed to be Len Spencer, otherwise performer is anonymous.

The front cover shows Emile Berliner at the age of about 35 - also inside are pictures of early Berliner discs and recording machine.
