On a trip to Indonesia, I discovered several instruments that color the sound of this album - and I also was stricken by an anti-malarial medication. Disturbing dreams, irrational fears, fatigue, and a perpetual state of self-alienation were some of the many side effects that nearly pushed me, a lone traveler, to the edge of a breakdown. This record, produced upon my return and under a lingering stupor, emerges from the hazy memories stowed from my Asian journey.
