The ‘Hardcore Yearmix 2000’ was the first yearmix that was made by Jason S and it took him another year to get the format right on the 2001 edition. The biggest problem with the 2000 edition was it had too many breaks, the in- and outro were too long and it was not mastered correctly when too much bass was added to the final mix making it sound muddy.

For this re-edited cut the audio got cleaned up with some of the too low bass frequencies removed. All the breaks were also removed and some other edits were made. A new intro was created and the old intro and outro have been removed. Now it plays much more like the other yearmixes in the series and has a sharp run time of a little over 60 minutes.
