Recorded At Watford Colosseum
35-CD, limited edition box set released by Decca in 2016, representing twenty years of orchestral recordings of works by a myriad of classical composers, all performed by The Montréal Symphony Orchestra, and various soloists, under the baton of Charles Dutoit. (The box also features a couple of 2004 recordings by the Philharmonia Orchestra on CD 35, also under Dutoit.) The packaging features individual sleeves for each CD (with the exception of CD's 25-28, which are each 2-CD sets and therefore come in gatefold sleeves!) with covers that replicate the original CD booklets, all housed within a red slipcase box; and a 96-page booklet with detailed track listings for all 35 CD's, liner notes by Ray Minshull and Andrew Stewart (2), translated by Isabelle Battioni and Dennis Collins (2), technical information, and many photos of the composer, orchestra, and featured soloists, all taken by the various photographers listed in the Credits section. (The actual title of this release has been taken from the interior pages of the booklet, as the box artwork simply gives the title as Dutoit Montréal.)
