Film and music video director, and author, born circa 1954, New York. Published a book of photographs of the Who's 1971 tour in 1973, at age 17. Known for the 1979 rockumentary The Kids Are Alright, and the Cars' You Might Think video, which won the first MTV Best Video of the Year award, and Tom Petty's Don’t Come 'Round Here No More video. Later a founding member and chief alchemist of Magic Leap. Brother of photographer Kevin Stein.
