Target

Main image

Founded in 1992 as a side project of Vanessa. Target was more experimental, with less accessible songs that for some reason didn’t fit into the tracklist of Vanessa. The unconventional combination of industrial, electronica and stage music was only available live. Projection behind the stage was layered with groundbreaking moments of wartime conflicts, ecstatic dances of the Dervish, and authentic footage of executions, autopsies, and copulations.

In May 1994, Target performed at the Eden in Prague with The Legendary Pink Dots (Rodný wrote cover version of their track A Space Between).

After the original line-up of Vanessa broke up, Target went into silence. In 2019, Prague’s Fatal club hosted a rare Target performance after 25 years.
