Ph.D. Marcin Gawdzis – born December 20, 1972, jazz trumpeter, teacher, composer and arranger, jazz trumpet lecturer at the Faculty of Conducting, Jazz and Music Education, Academy of Music. In 1993 and 1995, together with the bands THE SIMILARS and JOINT VENTURE, he won 1st place and individual awards at the Jazz Juniors festival in Krakow. In 1994, he won 4th place at the International Jazz Improvisation Competition in Katowice. During his studies, he recorded solo trumpet parts with pop artists, including: with: KAYAH, RENI JUSIS, NATALIA KUKULSKA, MIETEK SZCZESNIAK, F.N.S, NOCNA ZMIANIA BLUES and KRZYSZTOF KRAWCZYK. He has performed in almost all European countries. He has participated in the recording of 28 albums by various artists, creating in various styles of pop music.
