Austrian harpsichordist, fortepiano player, conductor and university lecturer, born 1958.
Wolfgang Brunner studied piano, harpsichord and musicology in Munich and Salzburg. Since 1985 he teaches historical keyboard instruments, piano, piano improvisation and chamber music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
In 1991, he founded the ensemble
Salzburger Hofmusik, whose instrumentation ranges from the trio to the orchestra. Its repertoire covers the 17th to 20th centuries, with a special focus on the music at the court of the Salzburg archbishops.
