Cuban-born jazz pianist, born September 10, 1906 in Havana, Cuba.
Rodriguez worked as an ensemble pianist with Jelly Roll Morton in 1929-1930. He performed and recorded with Benny Carter (1932-1933) and Don Redman (1938-1943). In the 1950s and 1960s he taught piano and played with Johnny Coles (1953), Louis Armstrong (1961) and Doc Cheatham (mid-1960s).
