The first complete compositions of Giovanni Damiani (Palermo, 1966) were written in 1982, and were realised by himself on magnetic tape. When Professors Carapezza, Collisani and Titone of the Institut of History of Music at the University of Palermo, listened to his works, encouraged him to study composition (at that time he was a pianist and studied at University).
