Best known pseudonym of musician and movie director Quentin Dupieux, Mr. Oizo became famous after his instrumental track [m=64910] (1999) was used in two different commercials for the Levi’s jeans brand, which also featured the puppet Flat Eric, created by Dupieux.

The term Oizo is a homophonic intentional misspelling of the word oiseau (pronounced wa-zo), meaning bird in the French language.
