Georges Hacquard, born July 18, 1918 in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) and died May 8, 2014 in Ivry-sur-Seine, was a French university professor of letters. He was a historian, essayist, the founder of l'Encyclopédie sonore in 1953 and Director of the Alsatian School between 1953 and 1986. He is known as one of the masters of modern pedagogy.
