American music producer. Also known as Curly Walter.
He worked for Capitol Records for many years, beginning in 1945, and being promoted in 1960 to Artist & Repertoire producer. Since 1945 he was assistant studio manager/engineer, tape editor, studio supervisor, and special assistant to A&R administration director Francis Scott. His boss was often
David Cavanaugh.
Walter produced numerous records including Jonah Jones' Hit Me Again and Jack Marshall's The Marshall Swings. He produced many artists including Charlie Barnet, the De Castro Sisters, Rene Bloch, Albie Pearson and comic Don Rickles--to name a few.
