Dix Denney

Main image

American guitarist, bassist, songwriter, painter, and luthier. Brother of John Denney, and son of Nora Denney.
Born on May 14, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
Died on March 14, 2023.
Denney was one of the co-founders of the punk rock band The Weirdos in 1975 with his brother John Denney. The Weirdos were one of the first bands to make a mark in the vital Los Angeles punk rock scene in the 1970s and were widely regarded as the best group to emerge from L.A.'s first wave of punk. They were fast, loud and manic, and had tunes as well as attitude. Dix was a gifted guitar player and a luthier as well.
