Jazz bassist/composer/arranger, born 13 March 1914 in New York City, USA, died 2 December 1998 in Venice, Florida, USA. He was a founding member of the Bob Crosby Band (1935), arranging and part-composing several of the band’s big successes, including What’s New?, South Rampart Street Parade, My Inspiration, and Big Noise from Winnetka.
