Born in 1947, Lawrence (Larry) Livermore is an American musician, music producer and music journalist best known for co-founding influential punk label Lookout! Records with his friend
David Hayes. Prior to the creation of Lookout!, Larry was running the Lookout! fanzine and fronting Californian punk band The
Lookouts which also included the drumming talents of a young
Tre Cool from
Green Day.
Between 1987 and 1994, he was a columnist for punk magazine Maximum Rocknroll, and from 1994 to 2007 wrote a monthly column for Punk Planet magazine.
Larry continued to run Lookout! Records until his retirement in 1997 when he signed ownership over to Chris Appelgren.
