German composer and choir-leader, born 23 January 1935 in Neustrelitz, Germany.
Startet in 1964 as music editor at Hessischer Rundfunk (HR), in 1965 he was music producer and head of department at Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR), from 1978 (until his retirement) he was head of the music department with a focus on popular music at Südwestfunk/Südwestrundfunk (SWF/SWR). As a composer, he has published around 500 of his own compositions and arrangements, including pop music, instrumental music, dance music, secular and sacred choral music and the successful children's musical “Die Dampflok-Story” with lyrics by James Krüss. He realized numerous music productions as a choir and orchestra conductor, pianist and band leader on radio, television and library music. In addition, there were specialist articles for print media as well as several teaching assignments and guest lectures at a number of German colleges and universities.
