American music industry legal representative and investment banker. Son of Clive Davis.
His first industry job came while still at [l1281646] in Boston, where he worked as [l362]’s New England college rep, promoting The Grateful Dead, Patti Smith and Barry Manilow.
After graduating from [l1691441] School of Law in 1985, Davis joined [l754], rising to Executive Vice President.
In 1994, Davis left EMI Records to found his own law firm, which became the entertainment and new-media law firm of Davis Shapiro & Lewit, LLP in 1997.
In 2010, Davis left his law firm to co-found CODE Advisors, where he worked with clients such as Comcast, Twitter, [l348018], Supercell, Shazam and Buddy Media.
In 2014, Davis moved to merchant bank The Raine Group, whose clients have included [l28757], SoundCloud, Downtown Music Holdings, BenevolentAI, Moonbug, [l473593], and [l83641].
