Yuri Vasilyevich Vasilyev (born January 7, 1946, Vurmankasy). Soviet and Russian musician, Honored Artist of the Chuvash ASSR (1980). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1988). People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1997).
Since 1976 - artistic director and chief conductor of the Chuvash State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble (Чувашский Государственный Академический Ансамбль Песни И Танца).
