Dimitris Baslam was born in December 1967 in Aschaffenburg, Germany and grew up in Edessa.
He studied double bass, and has been professionally involved in music since 1986. He has collaborated on recordings and live performances with: Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Yannis Angelakas, Socrates Malamas, Big Sleep, Mark Eitzel, Manolis Famellos, Dimitra Galani, Melina Kana, Nikos Ziogalas, Pavlos Pavlidis and many others.
