French trombonist.

Born: 4 February 1954 in Limoges, France.

From an early age, he practiced piano and horn but discovered his passion for trombone at the age of 10. After a few years of study at the Conservatoire de Limoges, he entered the [l1014340] at the age of 15 where he obtained his diplomas. He won several International Competitions (Geneva, Munich, Ptague and Toulon). At the age of 18, he was hired as Principal Trombone in the L’Orchestre De La Suisse Romande by Wolfgang Sawallisch, before joining the Orchestre National De L’Opéra De Paris a few years later. In 1989, he joined the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne to teach. In 1990, he became Head of the Brass Department at the [l787461].
