Luis Torrejón was born in Valparaíso in 24 January 1936. He moved to Santiago when he was 22 to work with [l901149] and soon turned into Chile's main sound engineer.
He has recorded more than 11,000 LPs since 1959, most of them on [l901149], [l1800866] and [l1390246]. In the 90s he founded
Torrejón Estudio.
He has recorded artists as Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, Pablo Neruda, Quilapayún, Los Ramblers, Margot Loyola, Los Mac's etc.
He was awarded with a Premio Pulsar in 2021.
In 10 July 2024, Luis Torrejón died at the age of 88 in Puente Alto, Santiago. His wake was held at the funeral home Funeraria Iván Martínez located at Avenida Camilo Henríquez 4827, Puente Alto.
